Binions Casino App Rewards
When we are between Vegas trips, my wife and I will play online slots. I play some slots when we go to Vegas, but I much prefer tables games. However, these online slots do help scratch a certain itch. Sometimes, they can help you earn some comps. Let’s run down some of the options.
Answer 1 of 29: I just noticed that the Binions Casino app offers free stuff similar to myvegas. Has anyone played this app? Any tips to speed it along? Best Binion's Casino App Strategy Part 3 of an experiment with #Binions to see what the strongest strategy for the Binion's Casino App is. We got a few Binio.
Common Characteristics of Online Slots
Every version of online slots you will find share a few things in common. First, you will earn free coins every so often that allows you to keep playing. The time between these free coins, and the number of coins, changes with each app.
Almost all of the online slots have levels. Going up in level usually unlocks different games. Sometimes, going up in level will increase the maximum bet allowed. Along with levels, there is often another point/currency/status system used for one reason or another. Sometimes leveling this up increases the number of free coins, sometimes they can be used for actual real-world rewards. Usually, there is a way to buy coins which may reward you with bonus points in this ‘other’ system.
There may be some unique features offered, depending on the app you’re using. We don’t have the ability to cover all of the possibilities. Also, not all of the online slots apps are affiliated with a casino. And since this is a blog about Las Vegas, casinos, and gambling we’ll leave those alone.
Wynn
Wynn slots is the online slots offering from Wynn. This game is available only on mobile and is currently my favorite (Wynn is currently my favorite property, so I’m maybe biased). You earn gems as you play. Gems can be redeemed for free nights at Wynn Las Vegas. With the opening of Encore Boston Harbor, it would be nice to see this program expand to other properties.
You can play entirely for free and earn gems. As you earn gems, the number of coins wagered to earn a new gem increases. There are three levels of free coins offered, the most frequent of which is every fifteen minutes. If you are diligent about collecting you can earn a multiplier that tops out at 3x. Eventually, the grind to earn a gem will be too cumbersome to continue earning a meaningful amount. It would be nice if buying coins also offered a small number of gems, but that’s not the case.
There are also events that offer objectives to players. Players are aiming to spin 500 times in any game or 50 times in a specific game. Other objectives are to win a certain number of free spins. Each completed objective awards a scratcher that will aware more coins.
I collect my free coins a few times per day until I have a fair amount to play or there’s an event that I enjoy. At this point, I set my phone or tablet up to auto-spin and let it go. In a couple of months of doing this, I’ve earned enough gems to get a free night at Wynn (depending on when I book). I suspect the value of this comp will deteriorate over time. Until then I’m all in.
MyVegas
MGM Resorts has a handful of online slots options under the MyVegas umbrella. Currently, MyVegas is my second favorite family online slots apps. Some of these can be played on your computer via Facebook. Some of them are only for mobile devices. Sometimes there is a version exclusive to each, but they share a name. As you play these games you earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for comps at MGM properties.
For the mobile versions, be prepared to dismiss a lot of popups. All of them are trying to get you to spend money. To be fair, Wynn has a popup, too. Singular. MyVegas apps have anywhere from two to five. Free coins are offered every few hours and you can send coins to friends if you both have your Facebook accounts linked to the app.
Over time the value of offered comps has deteriorated. It’s logical to expect the value to continue to deteriorate. Some of the restrictions make them nearly unusable. Getting $20 in free play sounds great, but you have to have a three-night stay booked at that property to use it. So if you’re staying at Mandalay Bay, you can’t redeem your comp at Luxor for free play. It doesn’t matter that you’re staying at another MGM property, you have to be staying at that property.
You can have multiple apps open and spinning at once. Doing this, I built up enough MyVegas loyalty points that I don’t feel like I need to continue. I’ve not stayed at an MGM property in a very long time. Therefore, I’ve not been able to use these offers. I didn’t feel like it was worth continuing the grind.
Caesars
Caesars has a few online slots apps (and a couple of bingo games) available. All of the games are developed by Playtika, which used to be owned by Caesars Interactive Entertainment. Like the MGM apps, there are mobile versions and web-based versions. Also, like the MGM apps, you can have multiple apps open spinning away.
Be prepared for popup ads. Holy crap the popups. You can link your Facebook profile and your Caesars Rewards account and earn Rewards Credits when you purchase coins. This is the extent of any comps or rewards. To be clear, these aren’t comps. This is a horrible exchange of real money into comp dollars at pennies on the dollar.
Eldorado Resorts Online Slots
Eldorado Resorts also has online slots available. The only way I see to earn anything redeemable in the form of comps is to spend real money. As of now, I have no desire to spend money with Eldorado. The only reason is that the only property near me is a racino that doesn’t have table games, so I prefer to not go. The app itself feels cheaply made. It doesn’t make me want to play. So, I don’t.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this and Caesar’s many apps once the merger is complete. Which one will stick around?
Four Queens Royal Players Club
Penn National Online Slots
Penn National offers online slots in the form of Hollywood Casino and Viva Slots Vegas. I’ll give them props on the Viva name (I’m a sucker for a play on words), but the app itself has the exact same look and feel of the Eldorado app. There are different icons here and there, but I wonder if they used the same developer.
Again, the only way I can see to earn any comps is to spend real money. This earns points in Penn’s MyChoice player rewards program that can be used as comps and free play at their properties. My understanding is the points earned are the same ratio as if you spend money at one of their properties. There is a Hollywood casino in my area. I enjoy the property, but it doesn’t have a hotel. If it did, we’d probably go more often because we wouldn’t have to worry about getting home.
If you live near a Penn National casino, or really like the Tropicana in Vegas, maybe this is an online slots app for you to check out to maybe earn some points.
Four Queens and Binions Online Slots
Both have online slots. Being ‘sister’ properties, owned by the same company, it’s unclear if the comps you earn are interchangeable between the properties. Again, the only way I can discern to earn points is to spend real money. This isn’t something I’m going to do as neither of these properties is where I’m trying to find a comp.
As a plus, both of these offer video poker as well as slots. The look and feel of these apps feel better than Eldorado and Penn, but only slightly. I found the navigation could be a little easier. The graphics in the games themselves just feels dated, as if you were playing a slots game on your Windows 95 PC.
There may be other, smaller, casino operators that offer online slots. I am not aware of them. To be honest, I didn’t seek them out because I don’t frequent (or live near) one. There are many online slots apps that are not affiliated with any casinos. One offers a way to earn Amazon gift cards by earning points. Some playtesting and then basic math came out to almost 18mo of daily play at around one hour per day to earn a $5 gift card. No thanks.
Binion’s Gambling Hall is located in Downtown Las Vegas directly on the Fremont Street Experience. The casino is next to the Fremont Hotel & Casino and across the street from both the Golden Gate Casino Hotel and the Golden Nugget Las Vegas.
The casino is named after Benny Binion, whose family owned and operated the casino from 1951 (the year it was founded) until 2004. From 2004 to 2008 Binion’s was owned by MTR Gaming Group. From this transaction, Binion’s also lost the Horseshoe brand name. Today, it is owned by TLC Casino Enterprises the same company who owns nearby Four Queens.
Initially, upon purchasing the property, TLC planned to expand the hotel at Binion’s but ended up closing the hotel entirely during the economic recession in December 2009.
There is no valet parking at Binion’s. There is a self-park garage off Casino Center Boulevard, between Fremont Street and Ogden Avenue. If you actively game or dine at Binion’s the first three hours in the parking garage are free with validation. It might be difficult to flag down the appropriate person inside but just know that you are entitled to validation. Otherwise, the cost is $2 per half hour for up to three hours and then $1 for each additional half hour.
Casino at Binion’s
[table “” not found /]
When you walk into the casino at Binion’s you will immediately realize how old this property is. Thelook and feel inside is outdated and if we are being blunt management over the years has not taken good care of the property and it has gone downhill over time. However, the floor itself is fairly large at least in comparison to other casinos downtown.
The games on the floor are not the best either. You can find Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, and Three Card Poker. There are also various video and classic-reel slots on their floor.
Baccarat at Binion’s
Baccarat is not offered at Binion’s.
Blackjack at Binion’s
It is best to avoid playing blackjack at Binion’s as it is one of the worst options in Las Vegas. There are zero 3:2 tables but you can find minimums as low as $5. They also offer Super 4 and free bet blackjack.
Craps at Binion’s
The craps tables at Binion’s are average at best. Also, the dealers are not the best, yet the tables are usually pretty crowded as Binion’s is located just off Fremont Street. The odds are 5x and the minimum wagerrequirement is $5.
Roulette at Binion’s
Double zero roulette is available on the casino floor at Binion’s.
Other Table Games at Binion’s
Despite being a large casino floor the table game selection at Binion’s is not the greatest. Below is a list of additional table games available.
– Big Six Wheel
– High Card Flush
– Let It Ride
– Pai Gow Poker
– Three Card Poker
High Limit Room at Binion’s
Unfortunately, there is no high limit area for table games at Binion’s.
Slots at Binion’s
Binion’s offers over 800 gaming machines on their casino floor. You can find popular titles such as Jurassic Park, Wonder Woman, and Family Guy. Also, Binion’s has Club Binion’s where members can earn cash back and comps by playing any one of their slot machines.
High Limit Slots at Binion’s
Binion’s does not offer a high limit area for slots.
Video Poker at Binion’s
Video poker at Binion’s is about average as there are a few good games with reasonable pay tables (99.20% was the highest we saw). There are six games to choose from including Loose Deuces Wild, Double Bonus, Double Double Bonus, and Jacks or Better. Denominations start as low as $0.05 and go up to $1.
Poker Room at Binion’s
Binion’s has a small poker room that was once home to the World Series of Poker but the rights were sold to Harrah’s (now Caesars Entertainment) in 2004. Nevertheless, the poker room is active and has $4 rake on all cash games and $2 in comps per hour of rated live poker play.
Sportsbook at Binion’s
The sportsbook at Binion’s is run by William Hill so, therefore, the lines will be the same as any other William Hill run sportsbook. Overall, the sportsbook is about average or just below. It’s fairly basic and offers the bare minimum.
There is no sign pointing you in the direction of the book so it might be difficult to see but it is adjacent to the poker room on the casino floor.
Despite being small it is spacious. The betting boards are on small TVs behind the cashiers. One thing to note is that horse racing is unavailable. Otherwise, it gets the job done in terms of serving as a place to bet on sports. But don’t expect any fancy add-ons.
Hotel at Binion’s
Though the hotel rooms and the building itself is still intact, Binion’s does not have an active hotel onsite. The 366 room hotel officially closed in 2009.
Spa and Fitness Center at Binion’s
Since there is no active hotel you shouldn’t be surprised that there is no fitness center or spa available at Binion’s.
Restaurants & Bars at Binion’s
When it comes to dining choices at Binion’s the marquee option is the Top of Binion’s Steakhouse. Located on the 24th floor it offers phenomenal views of Las Vegas and a romantic atmosphere. The menu is essentially one you would find at any traditional steakhouse and they are open from 5pm to 10pm daily.
Other food and beverage options at Binion’s include Benny’s Smokin’ BBQ & Brews, Binion’s Cafe, Binion’s Deli, Cowgirl Up Cantina, and Whiskey Licker. Benny’s is a good choice if you are in the mood for barbecue and brisket in particular. While the deli and cafe both provide a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Whiskey Licker is an outdoor bar that allows you to take in the sights and sounds of the Fremont Street Experience.
