Infinix hot 5 is out and Infinix has taken to its various social media accounts to announce the release.
The phone should come in three variants, the Hot 5 lite, Hot 5 and the pro. As at this time, Only the Lite and Hot are released. Expect the pro in the coming months.
To begin with, the Hot 5, is the successor of the Infinix Hot 4. For customers that still use the hot 4, now that there’s a new device is it time for an upgrade?
As we plunge further, we will get to know whether it’s worth upgrading or not!
The device specs are almost the same as its predecessor as there’s no major improvement.
My candid opinion is that you can keep using your smartphone till the Hot 5 Pro is unveiled.
However, if you want change for a new design and slight improvements, do pick this one up!

Design, Display & Features
Straight out of the box, the Hot comes with curved edges and a sleek plastic build.
On the back of the phones appears a 3D textured back, this increase the friction between the device and the hands, giving user’s a comfortable grip when using the phone.
To compliment the beauty of the Hot 5, there are three colors you can choose from: Red, champagne Gold and Grey. Choose the color that suits your taste best.
On its sleeve, there’s a front facing speaker created with Dirac 3D which filters the noise while producing improved sound quality. A feature most music lovers will like.
Thanks to the improved pixel density of 267, the device also fits in a 5.5-inches display with a resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels.
Also, the fingerprint reader is included as a security option. The round hollow on the back is the fingerprint reader.
With much admiration for this design, I feel it has the best design out of the bunch of the Hot series devices.
Note:The Hot 5 Lite doesn’t have the fingerprint reader!
Camera
To be very honest, Infinix mobility didn’t improve much in the camera category. As it features the same 8 MP (rear) camera and 5MP front camera as the Hot 4.
However, we expect an upgrade in the camera when the Hot Pro is released. But that’s by the way.
Now, the back camera packs an 8 MP camera while the front camera fits a 5 MP camera.
Finally the camera didn’t impress. I expected an overhaul in specs, but Infinix had other things I mind. We have to make do of what we have. Isn’t it?

Performance, Hardware & Software
Powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.3GHz , the Infinix Hot 5 is tipped for fast action. On the other hand, the Hot 5 lite features a 1GB of RAM.
The Hot 5 also ships a 16 GB storage which some user’s were quick to point out that it’s a misfit.
Nevertheless, you can use a MicroSD card of up to 64GB to increase the internal storage.
Talking about software, the phone bags the latest Android 7.0 (Nougat). Infinix also did more by adding latest XOS OS to spice up user experience.

“Cut your coat according to your size”. And that’s what Infinix did by utilizing a 4000mAh battery to power the device.
Infinix made some improvements in the battery, the first is the quick charge feature. This ensures your battery get pumped twice like never before.
The phone could easily pull through the day on an average use. Also, the power saver comes handy saving up battery when it comes down to 15%
