The SPANNER REPLACEMENT BIT works great. It works great with both sizes. It removes and tightens just like it’s supposed to. It doesn’t slip. The bit fits snugly into the tool perfectly. These replacement bits make it easy to replace a broken bit when you break one. I am very pleased with these replacement bits. The series SFZ locknut is designed with three locking inserts (pegs) that intersect the bore with an angle of 30o. This series is produced with tolerance class ISO 4H machined threads and is available in sizes 10 to 200 mm bore. Assembly: Slots; Thread Direction: Right Hand Thread. Tamper Resistant Screws with a 'Snake Eye' Drive
Tamper Proof Spanner or 'Snake Eye' security screws are installed using a spanner bit. Snake Eye Screws are commonly referred to as 'Snake Eye' because of the two dot drive system. Security screws are used for securing materials from being tampered with, such as gutters, license plates, grills in jails, schools, boats and cars. They are also used in food prep and processing areas. You will often see security screws used in bathroom stalls and other public locations. Spanner screws can only be installed or removed with a specialized bit, which fits a pin into each of the screw's two drive holes. Since Snake Eye screws can only be installed or removed with these bits, they are very resistant to tampering.
Tamper proof security screws, or Tamper resistant security screws, are distinguished by having an unconventional drive, making tampering with the screw more difficult, if not impossible without the matching driver. Security Screws are used for securing materials from being tampered with. Security screws in this selection are grade 18-8 or higher stainless steel, which prevents rusting and is corrosion resistant.
